STRUB Motor Oil and BMW

Where an engine, machine, manufacturing process or automation is needed of a specialized performance, a lubricant is required, and there you are certain to find a 'STRUB Lubricant'.

The Strub brand of lubricants was founded in 1910 and has been developed under license for the South African market. Over the past 20 years, Strub Lubricants has pioneered many new innovative products which include a wide range of the best quality automotive and industrial lubricants that are readily available, including fully synthetic and semi-synthetic oils as well as general purpose oils and grease products, covering a wide range of automotive and general applications.

Strub Motor Oils and Lubricants are derived from petroleum based and non-petroleum-synthesized chemical compounds that are typically blended by using base oils composed of hydrocarbons, polyalphaolefins and polyinternal olefins, thus organic compounds consisting entirely of carbon and hydrogen. The base oils of some high-performance motor oils however contain up to 20% by weight.

Machine parts that move against each cause friction and therefore waste useful power by converting energy to heat. Contact between moving surfaces wears away the engine parts, which lead to lower efficiency and degradation of the engine. Fuel consumption is increased and power output of the motor decreases.

Strub Motor Oil is used by BMW Motorsport for high performance racing applications and every day car enthusiasts around the globe due to excellent lubricating qualities and performance power gains. Strub products have been scientifically designed and improved to cool the engine by transferring heat 'away' from moving parts resulting in improved performance and power output of engines.

Strub also manufacture an extensive range of specialty lubricants such as synthetic oils and greases. Products are manufactured to international specifications and based on technologies used in European markets, which are imminent to improvement.

Synthetic lubricants were first synthesized or manufactured as replacements for mineral lubricants and fuels by German scientists between 1930 and 1940 due to the lack of sufficient quantities of crude for military requirements.

Strub’s SA production plant is situated in Vereeniging, South Africa. A highly sophisticated technical laboratory is operative which carries out stringent testing and research to constantly improve the quality of each and every Strub product.

Strub’s knowledge of the market, and each of their products, ensures that the brand of lubricants provides the end user with the best possible product for their application, which can be identified and applied for each purpose, which essentially provides consumers with a superior product that will save time and valuable production costs.

Strub Lubricants are unique in quality and reliability and therefore you can be assured of easy integration and compatibility when switching to the Strub range of products. Additives and detergents are blended into lubricants to keep engines clean and minimize oil sludge build-up together with rust inhibitors which keep engine parts free from rust corrosion.

Strub’s higher purity of oil means their products have superior mechanical properties at the extremely high and low temperatures. The molecules are made large and soft enough to retain a good viscosity. Molecular structures interfere with solidification, therefore allowing better oil flow at these ambient temperatures.
